Mary Rose Anderson
was born in the saddle and grew up riding in her equestrian community, Orange Park Acres. She is grateful
to her parents, older siblings, friends and local trainers for the development of her early horsemanship skills. She began taking "official" riding lessons at age eight and competed
in western pleasure through her local 4H club the Orange Acres Back Breakers. By the age of ten she was hooked on gymkhana
(barrel racing). Within the next few years she began sorting and assisting with sorting clinics. Over the years she's earned
many high point and reserve high point ribbons and has won buckles and other prizes for western pleasure, gymkhana,
sorting and Extreme Cowboy Racing. She has taken lessons and many clinics from various trainers including Marty Port, Mark
Hedgpeth, Steve Holt, Rick Hansen, and currently Ruben Mageno. She has apprenticed under Steve Holt and is certified by him
in Colt Starting, Ground Control and Reining Basics. Mary Rose began training horses locally while in high school, began giving
lessons as a camp counselor at Rawhide Ranch in 2005, then began training again at the Anaheim Hills Saddle Club in 2006.
Since 2007, her home base has been Rancho del Rio and Orange Park Acres.

I have been working with Mary Rose for 3-4 years
for lessons in Gymkhana and Cattle Sorting. I bought my first horse 8 years ago and I can definitely say that Mary Rose is
the most positive and energetic person I have ever taken lessons from! My riding skills have definitely improved because
she is determined to make me excel in the areas where I need improvement. She absolutely loves sharing her love for horses
with her students. Her teaching technique is very hands on in a non aggressive way. She has taught me so much about
horses in general and also has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to “Horse 101” (trailering, the right tack
to use, general health care, etc.). Unlike a lot of other riding instructors, she is always reliable and on time! I have
recommended her to numerous friends of mine in addition to one of the ladies that leases my horse from me. My new leasee
had her first few lessons last month and is delighted with Mary Rose! Also, I had my beginner husband work with Mary Rose
as well and he thought she was an excellent instructor! I would highly recommend Mary Rose for anyone who wants to learn to
ride from ages 3-70+!!!!! - Teresa Pearce
